Day 16 of the Emergencies Act hearings, the main organizer of the Freedom Convoy Tamara Lich was asked about what her life had been like after her arrest in Ottawa on Feb 17. “I’ve lost my job, I’ve lost my freedom of speech, I’ve lost my freedom to communicate with my friends,” said Lich tearfully.

Convoy spokesperson Benjamin Dichter said the convoy had to respond to “legacy media that was putting out a narrative that was completely false about these phantom violent people that I never saw.”

Benjamin Dichter on Jeremy Mackenzie he “has made comments throughout the years about Jewish Conspiracy theories. I laughingly says that he makes Mel Gibson look like a rabbi. He is really, really aggressive towards Jews.”

Benjamin Dichter recalls how the Freedom Convoy fostered a sense of togetherness among the diverse group of participants.

“Legacy media seems to be wanting to make these people who have very little or nothing to do with the convoy into celebrities,” convoy spokesperson Benjamin Dichter says of people like Pat King, James Bauder, and Jeremy MacKenzie.

Benjamin DICHTER risks it by admitting he knew about ‘the deal’ to comment that Keith Wilson is ‘unprofessional’ and ‘pat king in a suit.’

Benjamin Dichter laughs off suggestions that members of the Freedom Convoy were seeking to change the government:

“There’s always fringe elements in these sorts of events, but that’s not what we were about from the very beginning.”

Benjamin Dichter responds to claims that Ottawa businesses complained about the Freedom Convoy’s behaviour:

“All the businesses that I dealt with were supporting us and thought it was amazing.”

Tamara Lich testifies: I had to hear my PM call me a racist and say I shouldn’t be tolerated. I found his rhetoric to be incredibly divisive, and I’m a believer that if you are a leader of a country, you have to lead all of your people, even if you don’t agree with them.
