What the mainstream media is not reporting on are the massive amount of world-wide protests against climate change policies, inflation and worldwide farmer uprisings, you’ll find no mention of the economic protests raging in Spain, Morocco, Greece, and the United Kingdom.

Rallies in support of the farmers are set to take place simultaneously in several provinces, including Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Quebec and Saskatchewan. The rallies are grass-roots movements organized by locals in each province.

In a 14-page document tabled to the House of Commons in February, the Liberals directly cited CBC News’ analysis of donor data that claimed a majority of funding for the convoy came from abroad.

The state owned taxpayer funded Canadian Broadcasting Corporation reported on February the 10th 2022, that the GoFundMe donations to the Conway protest came from donors located outside of Canada.

Since then, Marco Mendicino has been trying to clarify his comments, saying the government consulted with police about what powers they needed to end the blockades, and the Emergencies Act was the only way to give them those powers.

Conservatives said the public safety minister has lost credibility over his comments about the decision to invoke the Emergencies Act, and they’re calling for him to resign.

“From the beginning, Conservatives have said that the threshold to invoke the unprecedented use of the Emergencies Act was never met and we have repeatedly called on the Liberal government to justify its actions, but they have failed to do so.

“The Commissioner of the RCMP appeared before the Special Joint Committee on the Declaration of Emergency and confirmed that Canada’s national police force never asked the Liberal government to invoke the Emergencies Act and that existing tools and laws were already available to address the situation.

Trudeau and the Liberals say that police asked for the Emergencies Act. Marco Mendicino says “police told us they needed the special power”.

The reporter said to Pierre “You’ve been criticized for your support for the trucker convoy, one of your fellow candidates has even said you should be disqualified for leadership of the party.  Has your opinion on the trucker convoy change since? And is your support of the truckers a liability moving forward?”

Pierre responds that his position has not changed. “I said at the very outset before they even arrived. But I simultaneously stood with a law abiding and peaceful truckers who were fighting for their livelihoods and liberties, while condemning any individual who breaks the law blocks critical infrastructure behaves badly. That is the position I took, then it’s the position I take now.”

Pierre says that Jean Charest, “learned about the trucker convoy on CBC like other liberals, and he misrepresented them. He believes that I should be censored, he believes I should be canceled from this leadership, race and disqualified in his words, because I don’t share his liberal viewpoint.”

“It has not been made clear that invoking this unprecedented overreach of government power ever met the threshold, and the information used by the Liberal government to justify it has been fraught with misinformation and a lack of credibility,” she said in an email. “Canadians deserve transparency and clarity, which is why we believe the Liberal government should waive cabinet confidence to answer questions about triggering the never-before-used Emergencies Act and stop hiding behind legal tools that block giving answers.”

Trudeau said when revoking the Emergencies Act “Today, after careful consideration, we’re ready to confirm that the situation is no longer an emergency. Therefore, the federal government will be ending the use of the emergencies act.”

Candice Bergen immediately following the vote to confirm the invocation of the Emergencies Act, rose to file pursuant to section 59 of the emergencies Act, a motion to revoke the Prime Minister’s emergency declaration that was proclaimed.  Candice Bergen said “The motion is signed by more than 20 members of the Conservative Party following a linear finish, and then we’ll finish the matter at the next sit in week. I say this to all Canadians that conservatives will continue to use every tool at our disposal to answer prime ministers.”

Speculation as to why the Federal Government revoked the Emergencies Act is that there was already a movement among a significant number of senators and MPs, including some liberals to come up with the requisite signatures to begin the process of of ending the declarations and that we didn’t end up having to do that. The government was well aware that we were fairly far along in creating that joint letter that was required under this the particular section, and instead there was the decision to suspend.
